Our First Live Event: Dallas Georgia Christmas Tree Lighting

The Hometown Co booth at Dallas Georgia Christmas tree lighting event

We're thrilled to share the story of our very first live event as The Hometown Co! On a magical evening in Dallas, Georgia, we had the incredible opportunity to participate in the annual Christmas tree lighting celebration, and what an unforgettable experience it was.

An Amazing Community Event

The Dallas Georgia Christmas tree lighting brought together vendors of all sorts, and the turnout was absolutely incredible. The energy, the festive spirit, and the community support made this event truly special. We couldn't have asked for a better first event to represent The Hometown Co.

Our Booth Stood Out

We're proud to say our booth really stood out at the event! We displayed our Signature Leatherette Sheets that we sell online—available in Buckskin, Rawhide, and Walnut—showcasing the quality and craftsmanship that makes The Hometown Co special. The response from attendees was overwhelming.

We received a lot of compliments about our custom signage that we brought to the booth. It was a perfect opportunity to show people that we also offer promotional and professional print quality items to help with booth setups and business signage. If you're looking to elevate your own vendor booth or business space, we've got you covered!

The Hometown Support Was Amazing

What touched us most was the incredible hometown support we received. We handed out business cards, spread holiday cheer with candy canes, and sold a lot of hats throughout the evening. But the biggest highlight? Meeting the people and making kids happy with our silly 67 hats. Seeing those smiles made every moment worthwhile.

Great Community Support

One of the most heartwarming aspects of the event was the vendor community. We made wonderful vendor friends who truly embodied the spirit of community support. When it got dark, they loaned us lights to keep our booth visible. They even gave us string lights to use, ensuring we could continue showcasing our products as the evening went on. This kind of generosity and camaraderie is what community is all about.

Made Possible By Our Amazing Team

This event was only made possible through the dedication and support of some very special people. My business partner Bryan was instrumental in making this happen, and I'm incredibly grateful for his partnership. Our best friends Greg and Heather, Jesse, and Bryan's wife Donna—we could not have done this event without them. They gave out hundreds of business cards, hundreds of candy canes, and were the face of The Hometown Co throughout the evening. Their energy, enthusiasm, and genuine care for every person who stopped by our booth made all the difference.

And I have to give a special shout-out to my amazing son, Joshua. He was there at the event and absolutely blew me away with his involvement and initiative. Joshua talked to customers, helped other vendors whose tents had blown off, and worked alongside me to help them set up and tear down their booths. He jumped in wherever he was needed and showed such maturity and kindness. Watching him help others and represent The Hometown Co with such pride made me incredibly proud. His spirit of service truly embodied what this event was all about.

My family also showed up in a big way, helping us set up, run the booth, and create an amazing experience for everyone who stopped by. It truly takes a village, and we're blessed to have such an incredible support system.
