Textured Leatherette — Rawhide to Black (12" × 24", Dual-Layer ~1.95 mm)
Textured Rawhide to Black blends a rugged, tactile surface with the bold contrast customers expect from rawhide. The grained top adds visual interest and a confident grip, while engraving reveals a deep black mark that reads clearly at retail distance. The dual-layer ~1.95 mm construction is intentionally stiffer for sharp corners, repeatable shapes, and patches that sit proud on caps, bags, and aprons. If you sell into outdoor shops, farm & ranch, or craft markets, this sheet brings authentic character without the maintenance of real leather.
For best throughput, keep air assist low during engraving to preserve richness, then re-enable air for cutting. A quick wash with LA’s Totally Awesome restores the surface, ready for press or packaging. Pair with your best-selling trucker blanks for a rugged set that photographs consistently across colorways.

Press Notes – Textured Leatherette
Our Signature Leatherette is designed for lower heat and shorter press times compared to standard materials. It responds best to balanced, moderate settings that preserve quality while increasing production speed.
Recommended Starting Point (for Dual Press Users):
-
Top Heat: 235°F
-
Bottom Heat: 235°F
-
Time: 15–30 seconds (start with less time and increase as needed)
-
Pressure: Begin with lower to medium pressure until a clean, even press is achieved.
-
Sheet: Always use a silicone sheet during pressing.
These settings are intended as a starting range only. Every press and environment varies, so we strongly recommend testing and fine-tuning for your specific setup and preferences.
Please note that our Signature Leatherette was developed specifically for lower-temperature application and faster press cycles—allowing for higher production volumes without sacrificing quality.
We do not recommend using the same settings as other leatherette brands, as our material composition is uniquely optimized for efficiency and consistent results.Recommended Platen (Perfect Press: 112-1):
For optimal results with the 112-1 setting, ensure your patches are sized appropriately for your heat press. Patches that are too large may not achieve proper adhesion across the widest portions of the design. Important: Please verify that your patch dimensions and total area are compatible with your press capacity. Additional presses, increased pressure, or adjusted heat settings may be required for larger designs. We cannot be held responsible for application issues related to patches or designs that exceed the dimensions or area capacity of your heat press equipment.
Whether you're creating custom hat patches for your small town merch or producing bulk orders for wholesale clients, our Signature Leatherette delivers consistent, professional results every time.
